Introducing: House of Field member Michael Robinson !

Michael Robinson has been one of our beloved interns at Patricia Field.

He started working with us a year ago and he is truly part of the House of Field family.

Being an intern can be tough work, tiring and often you’re learning on the job. Michael has always had a positive attitude and good work ethic.

Everyone in the store and office has worked with Michael to some capacity and can not say enough good things about him. He really helps us in our day to day needs. His main focus is on assisting Natalie, our web manager on customer service, shipping, photo shoots with Reiko, and updating the website. He has been a great help to her and we really appreciate all his hard work this past year.

This past week we had the chance to celebrate his birthday at the DL Lounge where we host a weekly party called Chicken & Diamonds. Happy Birthday Michael! We love you.

Get into how hot and popping Chicken & Diamonds got for Michael’s birthday!

Patricia Field Rocks the LIM College Fashion Show!

On Friday, April 12th, The House of Field participated in the LIM College Fashion Show called “Rebolution”.

image
Justin (Show Director), Pat, Barbie, Rachel, Erica
The fashion show is LIM’s annual end-of-the-year showcase. The students produce every aspect of the show from the invitations to casting to the styling. It is a great experience for the students to learn about fashion show production, on and off the runway.
Pat has a long standing relationship with LIM.  She respects the program because it is the perfect mix of fashion business, merchandising, and styling. Not many schools have an emphasis on the business aspects of fashion. Most schools just nurture the creative sides of fashion stylists, designers, costume designers and merchandisers. We truly appreciate that LIM College teaches their students the best of both worlds.
In addition, most of our interns for Patricia Field have come directly from LIM.  Our lovely financial director, Erica, is an LIM alum as well.
For this fashion show Patricia asked Barbie, our store manager, to lead the operation. Barbie worked with the girls on the fashion styling committee from LIM to pull looks together for the show. The theme was punk inspired with touches of 80’s and 90’s glam flavor.  Barbie was the perfect stylist for the job because she has been around the Patricia Field asthetic for four years now and is a fabulous stylist.
Barbie describes her experience working with LIM to us:
“That show rocked!! The models were fun, the styling was edgy and young, and the dance team at the end did a kick ass job!

This was my first time working for Pat on a fashion show and it was motivation to make mama proud! I tried to use the lessons Pat has taught me over the years of styling as inspiration. During the show she would whisper to me that she liked the looks Amanda and I picked out and that made me extremely happy.

Justin did an amazing job as a host wearing his barely there all black two piece and I can’t wait to see what the students at LIM do next!”
